Agreement on Industrial Water Recycling and Reuse

An Agreement on Industrial Water Recycling and Reuse is a legal contract between an industrial enterprise and a service provider (or between multiple enterprises and local authorities) that governs the collection, treatment, recycling, and reuse of wastewater. It defines responsibilities for infrastructure investment, treatment standards, water quality monitoring, pricing, allocation of recycled water, environmental compliance, and liability for violations. From 2022–2024, Vietnam recorded over 1.2 billion m³ of industrial wastewater annually, with less than 20% being recycled.
